One partner. Total accountability. From on-premise silicon to cloud scale.

Othab Solutions is a South African systems integrator, managed infrastructure provider and enterprise software engineering firm. We install the hardware on site, architect the hybrid cloud, build the software that runs on it and operate the whole estate under strict service levels. One number to call, and no vendor to point at.

Why one partner

Multi-vendor estates fail in the gaps between the vendors.

A hardware supplier, a network contractor, a cloud consultancy, a software house and an outsourced helpdesk each own a piece. When a branch goes down, each of them can show that their piece is fine.

Othab takes custody of the whole stack. A fault is ours to find and ours to fix, wherever it sits, and the service report at month end covers the estate, not a slice of it. One contract, one service manager, one set of numbers.

  • HardwareWe procure and install itServers, storage, networking, biometrics, POS and device fleets, delivered and installed on site.
  • CloudWe architect and integrate itAWS and Azure environments joined to what stays on premise, with identity and security designed in.
  • SoftwareWe build itBack ends, billing engines, portals, mobile applications and governed AI, engineered for the load and the audit.
  • OperationsWe run it under SLAMonitoring, maintenance, support and reporting, with response times written into the agreement.

Services

Six capabilities, each carried through the full lifecycle.

Every capability runs from assessment to operation. The team that designs a rollout installs it, and the team that installs it supports it afterwards.

On-premise infrastructure and hardware rollouts

The physical layer, procured, staged, installed and documented.

We source hardware through authorised channels, configure it off site and install it on site: servers and storage, enterprise networking, biometric and access-control hardware, point-of-sale and tablet fleets. Our field teams cover South Africa and hand over every site labelled, tested and recorded in the asset register.

Managed IT services and field support

The estate watched around the clock and maintained on a calendar.

Monitoring that sees a fault before the user does, preventative maintenance done on schedule rather than after a failure, and technicians who are remote in minutes or on site the same day. Workstation lifecycle management from procurement to secure disposal, and business continuity and disaster recovery that is tested, not assumed.

Cloud architecture and hybrid environments

Enterprise cloud, joined properly to what stays on premise.

Enterprise architecture on AWS and Azure, integrated with the systems that remain in your server room. Edge security and content delivery, automated build and release pipelines, and zero-trust identity with single sign-on and two-factor authentication across the estate.

Enterprise software and platform engineering

Mission-critical systems, engineered for the load and the audit.

Back-end systems that handle real money and real customers, high-throughput billing and automation engines, modern web portals and mobile applications, and governed AI assistants behind a private wrapper your organisation controls. Built by engineers who have shipped inside the release, security and compliance processes of banks, insurers and automakers.

Turnkey industry and practice digitisation

Box to browser: hardware, devices and software switched on as one deployment.

For operations that still run on paper and spreadsheets: local server hardware, end-user devices and purpose-built practice or business management software, delivered as a single deployment. Data migrated, people trained and the first month supported before we step back to a service agreement.

IT infrastructure audits and governance

An independent view of what you run, with the remediation plan attached.

Audits of physical and cloud infrastructure, security vulnerability assessments, AI usage audits with a governance model to follow, modernisation roadmaps for legacy estates and architectural governance for programmes already in flight. Findings are ranked by business impact and come with the fix, the cost and the order to do it in.

Managed services

An estate under management is watched, maintained and reported on.

Every managed estate runs on the same operating model. Monitoring covers every layer in the schematic above. Maintenance happens on a calendar. A monthly report shows the service level actually delivered against the one in the agreement.

Support is tiered by priority. The response times here are the framework we start from; the final levels, hours and credits are written into each agreement.

Service level framework
PriorityConditionExampleResponse
P1Service downA site, a core system or a payment flow is unavailableWithin 1 hour, 24/7. Work continues until restored.
P2Service degradedSlow systems, a failed node with failover holdingWithin 4 hours, 24/7
P3Single user or non-criticalA workstation, printer or one user's accessNext business day
P4Change or requestNew users, moves, additions and scheduled workScheduled inside the maintenance window

Indicative framework. Final levels are agreed per contract.

  • Named service manager and escalation path
  • Monthly service and SLA report
  • Asset register kept current
  • Patching and preventative maintenance calendar
  • Written change control
  • Annual disaster recovery test

Approach

How a turnkey rollout runs.

  1. 01
    Assess

Site surveys, an asset register and requirements gathered from the people who do the work.

  2. 02
    Design

Architecture, bill of materials and a written specification, signed off before anything is ordered.

  3. 03
    Procure

Hardware sourced through authorised channels, staged and configured off site.

  4. 04
    Deploy

Installation by our field teams, site by site, with acceptance testing at each one.

  5. 05
    Integrate

Software, identity and cloud connected and cut over, with a rollback plan agreed in advance.

  6. 06
    Operate

Handover into managed services, monitoring switched on and the first service report within 30 days.

Every engagement has one accountable service manager, written change control and a monthly report, from the first site survey onwards.

Source code, configurations, documentation and runbooks are yours and are handed over in your repositories. Personal information is handled in line with POPIA, and nothing leaves South Africa without your written decision.
